On Monday, March 3, 2025, the Longview ISD Foundation announced the recipients of its 2025 Great Rewards for Great Ideas Grant Program and Campus Initiative Grant Program.
Great Rewards for Great Ideas Grant Program
Grant winners received funding from the Longview ISD Foundation ranging from $100 to $2,500 for innovative classroom projects and programs that will enhance the quality of education and improve student achievement for all students in Longview ISD.
This year, the thirtieth anniversary of the Great Rewards for Great Ideas Program, applicants requested $22,757.09 through twelve grant applications. The Foundation funded six grants totaling $12,333 .83. The Foundation funded three elementary grants for a total of $7,328.65 and three secondary grants for a total of $5,005.18.
Teachers at East Texas Montessori Prep Academy, Ware East Texas Montessori Academy, Forest Park Middle School, Judson STEAM Academy, and Longview High School received funding through the Great Rewards for Great Ideas Program for the 2025-2026 school year.
Since the beginning of the Great Rewards for Great Ideas Program in 1996, the Foundation has funded 787 grants totaling $860,503.93. These grants have enhanced Longview ISD’s academic programs as well as music, art, technology, counseling and guidance, career education, health and physical education, character education programs, and STEAM and STEM projects.
Campus Initiative Grant Program
The Longview ISD Foundation, Inc. received five Campus Initiative Grant applications requesting $19,316.25 and funded two for a total of $9,247.15. This year’s grant recipients are Kimberly Dolese, principal, and Osyln Williams, counselor, at Longview Early Graduation High School and Laura Johnston, teacher, Amy Bruyere, academic dean, and Danny Stanley, principal, at Judson STEAM Academy. The Campus Initiative Grant Program offers campus principals and their designees the opportunity to request up to $5,000 for materials or an educational program or project that will benefit the entire campus.
Since 2008, the Longview ISD Foundation, Inc. has funded 54 campus grants for a total of $167,677.87.

Through the Great Rewards for Great Ideas Grant Program, the Campus Initiative Grant Program, and the annual John W. Harrison, Jr. Academic Field Trip Grant, the Longview ISD Foundation has returned $1,140,745.90 to LISD educators to enhance the quality of education for all students.
